How many boxes are available right now?
Finance-y is in the early stages of rolling out the full suite of products. We have launched with the start of the 6-8 year old age bracket boxes, and will be consistently releasing more. Soon you will be able to sign-up for an alert when the age bracket you are interested in becomes available. We appreciate your patience and support as we grow!
What is included in every box?
Please check out our product pages for specific examples of what is to be expected in the boxes. Each box will always include a parent guide, workbook, and story. Depending on the box, it will also include either a craft, and/or game, and/or toy or other experience that helps deliver the lesson.
Do parents have to be involved?
Yes! And that is key to the success of the Finance-y experience. Finance-y is built to be a parent-child interaction in the younger age brackets, becoming a more independent experience at the older age brackets. 99% of parents we surveyed told us they want to interact with their child as they learn about money and finance. In addition, research shows that parents talking about money with their kids when they are young contributes to their financial literacy in the future.
What age is best for the boxes?
We have recommended age ranges for each box. The recommended age ranges are designed to meet kids at their current learning level – from the topic, to the tone, to the reading and math included. The topics in the boxes are also sequenced according to the curriculum we have designed. Finance-y is structured to be a continued education program for kids that builds on itself over time. But we know all kids learn at different paces. If you feel your child is struggling with the recommended box, or needs more of a challenge, please reach out to us directly and we will try to help!

Can the activities be used by more than one child?
While the boxes and activities can be engaged with by multiple kids at a time, there are certain activities – particularly in the workbook – that are to be completed by one kid and done once they have been marked on. We will leave it to you to determine how well your children can share and collaborate, but if you email us we have a few options:- Discount on the second sibling box- Purchase a second workbook or other one off materials when needed

We are focused on the roll out of our boxes, but we have a whole line-up of resources and products that will continue to launch to create a comprehensive experience for our subscribers.
I don’t know much about money. How can I be the one to help my child?
We love this question! And you’re in good company. Almost half of parents wesurveyed told us they do not consider themselves to be financially literate. Finance-y is made for you too! It will take you on the learning journey with your child. The parent-child interaction does not mean you are teaching them – you are just helping them navigate the materials. We include a parent guide in all the boxes, so if you have questions, we try to have all your answers! Finance-y is designed for parents regardless of knowledge. We are thrilled that you are here to help your kids be more confident in their financial literacy as they grow up! If anything comes up that you are not sure how to talk about, you can email us at help@finance-y.com. But you should also know that there aren’t any “right” answers. Just having conversations with your child about money (whether positive or negative) is a step in the right direction!

What happens after I purchase a box?
We will ship your box to the address provided within 7-10 business days of your order date. We will share tracking information once it has shipped for you to track estimated delivery timing.
Something in my box is missing!
Contact us at help@finance-y.com right away. Send us a quick picture of the box as it was received, with a note about what you think is missing.
When will my box ship?
Within 7-10 business days of order placement.
How much is shipping?
We offer free shipping with a purchase of $70 or more – which means that all boxes qualify for free shipping as long as a promo code or other discount has not been applied.
Do you offer discounts?
We will offer promotions throughout the year. Keep a lookout on our site, and eventually we will allow you to sign-up for emails where we will share those details as well.

What is the cancellation policy?
Once a box has shipped, it is non cancellable. If you accidentally place an order, or receive your reminder note for your upcoming order and would like to cancel – please email us at help@finance-y.com. Emails received after an order has shipped will not be able to be cancelled.
Can I return my box for a refund?
If there is a problem with your box (i.e. missing an item, damaged product), please contact us at help@finance-y.com. We are unable to accept returns of boxes, but are always here to help if there is a problem.
Can I buy a one off box?
Right now as we roll out the full suite of products, you are able to buy one-off boxes.
Can I give it as a gift?
Of course! When you checkout, just check the box that acknowledges the shipping and billing addresses are different. You can then input a different shipping address from your billing address. Don’t forget to also check the box indicating it is a gift so that you can add a note!
Do you offer bulk or group orders?
Yes! Please contact us at help@finance-y.com directly if you would like to place a larger order. In the future we will offer a unique experience for larger groups, as well!
Subscriptions

How does the subscription work?
Right now, the only subscription option is for 6-8 year olds. Once you place your order your first box will ship out within 7-10 business days. If you have selected to sign-up for the subscription, you will automatically receive a box quarterly (every 3 months) – unless you pause or cancel your subscription.We will email you the week before it is set to ship as a reminder, and to allow you to make any necessary adjustments prior to shipping. The subscription will continue to auto-renew and you can cancel at any time. Once the quarterly subscription box has shipped though you are unable to cancel that box. At that point you are only able to cancel the next (future) boxes. We also offer the option to pause or skip. We will email you the week before it is set to ship as a reminder, and to allow you to make any necessary adjustments prior to shipping.

Do you ship internationally?
No. Though certain principles of money are universal, we are focused on the United States dollar at this time and not international currencies.
Does Finance-y have an app?
Not yet! We’re prioritizing the non-screen experience for now.
